People are hungry all year long. While our friends are generous around the holidays, it is during the other months that our donations decrease. Unfortunately, the demand for food has increased.
Conduct a food drive at your place of work, worship or with your school or social group (scouts, Pop Warner Football, soccer, basketball, baseball, hockey or other athletic team)
Purchase extra items at the grocery store as your budget allows and deliver them to our warehouse at 735 Broadway Street, Lowell, MA
Following is a list of items that are nutritious, easy to store and won't spoil in a short time:
o Tuna or other canned meat
o Peanut Butter
o Canned spaghetti sauce
o Canned vegetables and fruit
o Canned soup
o Pasta
o Paper towels
o Bath tissue
o Personal care items (toothpaste/Soap/Shampoo/conditioner)
o Diapers
Time
Volunteer at our warehouse or at fundraisers- it's a great way to build a team atmosphere among co-workers, and for families and friends to spend time together while helping the community
1. Inspect and sort donated non-perishable food
2. Organize shopping areas
3. Assist with mailings and fundraising activities
4. Volunteer at fundraising events to facilitate activities (Wine Tasting in May or Golf Tournament in July)
