BILLERICA — The Northeast Association of Realtors’ Community Service Committee is sponsoring a food drive to benefit the Merrimack Valley Food Bank.
From 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, collection trucks will be at Habitat for Humanity ReStore, 257 Boston Road. Residents are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items. For more information, call 978-577-6138, or for a flier, go to the homepage of www.NortheastRealtors.com.
The NEAR Community Service Committee is dedicated to assisting individuals and groups in the Merrimack and Nashoba valleys who are in need. Charitable organizations helped by the group in the past year include: Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell, Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence, Community Teamwork, D’Youville Foundation, Eagle-Tribune Santa Fund, Girls Inc. of Greater Lowell, House of Hope, Lawrence Community Works-Our House for Design, Habitat for Humanity, Lazarus House, Lowell Transitional Living Center, Lowell Wish Project, Merrimack Valley Food Bank, Place of Promise, St Ann’s Home Inc., The Salvation Army, Up with People, the Moody School and the Lincoln School, both in Lowell, and the Leahy School in Lawrence.
