Mass 211
Every day, someone somewhere in Massachusetts needs to find essential community services, an after school program, a food bank, or where to secure care for an aging parent. Many face these challenges, but don’t always know where to turn for help. The Solution is to Dial 2-1-1. Mass 211 is an easy to remember telephone number that connects callers to information about critical health and human services available in their community. It serves as a resource for finding government benefits and services, nonprofit organizations, support groups, volunteer opportunities, donation programs, and other local resources. Always a confidential call, Mass 211 maintains the integrity of the 9-1-1 system saving that vital community resource for life and death emergencies.
Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Mass 211 is an easy way to find or give help in your community. If you are unable to reach 2-1-1 due to your telephone or cell phone carrier, a toll-free number is available 1-877-211-MASS (6277)
Mill City Grows
Mill City Grows’ Mobile Market is proud to participate in the Massachusetts Healthy Incentives Program (HIP) which matches SNAP recipients’ purchases of local fruits and vegetables at farmers’ markets, farm stands, mobile markets, and CSA farm share programs.
Our Mobile Market SNAP clients can instantly earn up to $40 per month for households of 1-2 people, $60 for households of 3-5, or $80 for households of 6 or more when you pay for your purchase using SNAP. Your Mobile Market payment is debited from your EBT account on the same day you get SNAP benefits each month — you will earn the HIP incentive automatically when your Mobile Market payment is posted.
The earned incentives can be used right away or saved for a future purchase at our Mobile Market or any SNAP retailer on any SNAP-eligible foods.
Visit www.millcitygrows.org to place your online order for fresh, locally grown, seasonal produce — just look for our green “Order Fresh Produce” button! They will bag up your order and have it ready for non-contact, curbside pickup.
For questions, please email market@millcitygrows.org or call 978-455-2620. Thank you for supporting our local farmers and growers!
