When you coordinate a food drive at your work, school, club, or organization you are helping us meet the increased demand for shelf stable food for our neighbors who are struggling to make ends meet. Many families have limited access to fresh, nutritious, and affordable food and rely on the supplemental non-perishable food they receive at their local pantry. Whether at your place of business or in the classroom a food drive is an opportunity to work together with a common goal of feeding our neighbors.
Please contact our Community Relations Coordinator, Roberta Emerson at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note, due to limited resources, we are only able to pick up food drives over 500 pounds (approximately 500 cans). Delivering your donations to the food bank is a “bonus” donation to us. It enables us to better utilize our man power hours and save in fuel costs as well. Your drive can be delivered and weighed Monday-Friday from 8:30-3:30.
We can stretch a dollar a long way. In lieu of collecting food you could host a Fund Drive within your organization on our behalf. Make it fun for all involved; hold a bake sale, a cook-off, or a pizza party with the proceeds benefiting the food bank.
If you have a special event planned, a birthday, anniversary, or back yard barbecue, you can accept monetary donations or supermarket gift cards. Instead of sharing gifts you can make a contribution in your family’s name.
